Membership Classes are held twice per year (Spring & Fall)

Membership at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is a dynamic growth tool that encourages everyone to become a fully devoted follower of Christ. As a church, we are a community made up of visitors, regular attendees and participating members.

When regular attendees decide they'd like to become committed participants in the vibrant life of the church, they consider becoming an active and participating member.  Membership Classes are offered twice each year (Spring & Fall) held during the Sunday School hour (9:45am - 10:45am).  This series of three classes include an overview / review of the Lutheran faith, as well as information about the many programs and ministries offered.  You will also have an opportunity at this time to meet the staff as well as our lay leaders.  After completing the Membership Class an adult baptisms will be scheduled.

•  Why Membership?  1 Corinthians 12:12-31
The church is the global body of Christ.  Consisting of believers from every corner of the glove, demonstrated in local congregations.  Church membership is a way of identifying oneself with a local body of believers and of making oneself accountable to proper spiritual leadership.  Being a church member means that you become committed to one of these local expressions of Christ's body.  Joining as members enables us to grow and become spiritually mature in Christ.

•  How do I sign up for the next Membership Class?
If you are interested in becoming a member at Holy Trinity you should pre-register by contacting the Church Administrator or signing up for classes at the Information Table in the Narthex.  Once a class time and date has been established, all those interested will be given registration documents to complete and return before the class begins.

•  How do we arrange for a Baptism?
After completing the Membership Class an adult baptisms will be scheduled.  Child baptisms are done once parents have completed the Membership class.  There is an obligation on the part of the parents to "faithfully bring the child to the services of God's House, teach them the Lord's Prayer, the Creed and the Ten Commandments.  In order to honor the vows of Holy Baptism, families are encouraged to actively participate in the life of Holy Trinity.

•  What about participating in Holy Communion?
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Children may receive Holy Communion once they have received First Communion Instruction.  These classes are held twice each year, and are available for all Holy Trinity members and their children regardless of age.  Pre-registration is required  we must have a minimum of 6 participants to hold this class.

•  What are Lutheran beliefs?
We believe that God the Father is our Creator, Jesus Christ is our Savior, and the Holy Spirit is our Sanctifier bringing us to newness of life.  We accept the Holy Scriptures as the divinely inspired Word of God and message of God's redemptive act in Christ.  We teach that all people are sinners and that a person is saved only by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.  We define the Church as the fellowship of those who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and savior.  The church is essential to Christian life and growth. We celebrate two Sacraments as the God-given means for showering our lives with His grace.  They are Baptism and Holy Communion.  We live, not according to a formula of do's and don'ts but in the freedom of Christian love and responsibility.
