Our
Mission Statement:
"Serving
Communities
Boldly,
Loving
All
as
Christ."
Statement
of
Welcome:
In
response
to
the
call
in
Roman's
15:7
"welcome
one
another
therefore,
as
Christ
has
welcomed
you
for
the
glory
of
God,"
we
believe
every
person
is
entitled
without
barriers
that
exclude
people
from
full
and
active
participation
in
our
church.
Our
Purpose:
We
believe
a
great
commitment
to
the
Great
Commandment
and the
Great
Commission
will
grow
a
great
church.
The
purpose
of
Holy
Trinity
Lutheran
Church
is
summarized
in
these
three
key
scriptures:
The
Great
Commandment: "Jesus
said,
'Love
the
Lord
your
God
with
all
your
heart....
soul...
and
mind.
This
is
the
first
and
greatest
commandment.
And
the
second
is
like
it:
'Love
your
neighbor
as
yourself'.
All
the
Law
and
Prophets
hang
on
these
two
commandments. -
Matt.
22:36-40
The
Great
Commission: "Jesus
said,
'Go
and
make
disciples
of
all
nations,
baptizing
them
in
the
name
of
the
Father
and
of
the
Son
and
of
the
Holy
Spirit,
and
teaching
them
to
obey
everything
I
have
commanded
you." -
Matt
28:19-20
God's
Freely
Given
Grace
Over
Works:
"For
it
is
by
grace you
have
been
saved, through
faith and
this
is
not
from
yourselves,
it
is
the
gift
of
God not
by
works, so
that
no
one
can
boast"
Ephesians
2:8-9

About
Us:
With
a
rich
history
of
service
in
the
community,
Holy
Trinity
Lutheran
Church
celebrated
its
65th
anniversary in
2017,
and
we
continue
to
thrive
and
give
back
through
our
many
ministry
programs
including
MUST
Ministries,
Habitat
for
Humanity,
Blessings
in a
Backpack,
Hunger
Walk, Angel
Tree,
and
more.
Our
first
worship
at
the
Sandy
Plains
location
was
held
on
Reformation
Sunday
1980.
After
a
move
from
the
original
location
near
the
“Big
Chicken”
to
its
current
building
in
Northeast
Cobb,
Holy
Trinity
has
grown
both
physically
and
spiritually
to
our
current
size
of
around
500
people
worshiping
each
weekend.
The
Evangelical
Lutheran
Church
in
America
(ELCA’s)
story
is
both
ancient
and
timely.
It’s
a
story
of a
powerful
and
patient
God
who
has
boundless
love
for
all
people
of
the
world.
It’s
a
story
that
brings
deep
meaning,
comfort
and
strength
to a
growing
community
of
people
who
live
in
modern,
often
unsettling
times.
Martin
Luther
began
the
Reformation
with
his
Ninety-Five
Theses
in
1517,
emphasizing
God's
freely
given
Grace
over
works,
based
on
Ephesians
2:8-9
"For
it
is
by
grace you
have
been
saved, through
faith and
this
is
not
from
yourselves,
it
is
the
gift
of
God not
by
works, so
that
no
one
can
boast".

The
Luther
Rose:
We
begin
with
a
cross
in a
heart,
reminding
us
that
Jesus
loves
and
saves
us.
The
white
rose
around
the
heart,
shows
us
that
Faith
gives
joy,
comfort
and
peace.
The
sky
blue
field
surrounds
the
Luther
Rose
symbolizing
the
heavenly
future
hope
and
joy
not
yet
fully
revealed
in
this
life.
Around
all
of
this
is a
golden
ring,
symbolizing
that
the
blessing
of
heaven
lasts
forever.
